Refunds & Cancellations

1. Initial Feasibility Assessment
At Secure Chain, we offer a complimentary initial feasibility assessment. Because this initial review is provided free of charge, there are no refunds applicable to this phase of our engagement. We use this step to determine if we can genuinely assist you before any financial commitment is made.
2. Active Investigations & Tracing Services
Given the highly specialized, labor-intensive nature of blockchain forensics, cyber intelligence, and asset tracing, our services are generally non-refundable once a formal agreement has been signed and work has commenced.
When we begin an investigation, our analysts immediately deploy proprietary tools, dedicate billable hours, and utilize specialized resources. Therefore, fees paid for active tracing and recovery efforts compensate for the time and expertise utilized, regardless of the final recovery outcome.
3. Cancellation Policy
3.1 Cancelling Before Work Begins
If you have signed an agreement and remitted payment, but wish to cancel the service before our team has initiated the investigation or tracing protocols, you may be eligible for a full or partial refund. You must submit your cancellation request in writing to support@chainanalytik.com within 24 hours of payment.
3.2 Cancelling During an Active Investigation
Clients maintain the right to terminate our services at any time. However, if cancellation occurs after the investigation has started, no refunds will be issued for funds already paid. If you are on a milestone-based or hourly billing structure, you will be billed only for the work completed up to the date of written cancellation.
4. Exceptions and Discretionary Refunds
Secure Chain reserves the right to issue refunds or credits at our sole discretion under exceptional circumstances, such as:
- Administrative or billing errors (e.g., duplicate charges).
- Instances where we determine, shortly after payment, that a conflict of interest prevents us from taking your case.
5. Legal Action and External Fees
Our service fees cover the cyber intelligence and forensic reporting provided by Secure Chain. Please note that our refunds policy does not apply to fees you may independently incur with third parties, such as external legal counsel, law enforcement filing fees, or exchange administrative costs, even if we collaborated with them during your recovery process.
